Newtown, Connecticut Online Memorial
Lord, bind up the broken, the shattered hearts of love.
Bring down Your healing, send peace from heaven above.
So many little children, lives snuffed out today.
Oh my Heavenly Father, to You I now pray.
The tragedy in Connecticut, would never happen again.
Oh Lord, I pray for the families, in their excruciating pain.
Lord, my heart is aching, I know that Yours is too.
I pray that you’d bring healing to the survivors of this too.
Lord, we watch in horror, to think that this could be.
So many little children, sent to eternity.
Many adults that were with them, were caught in the carnage too.
Oh my Heavenly Father, what are we to do.
How do we heal the heartache, the shattered families.
Please send down Your Spirit, like a gentle breeze.
To bring hope and healing in the carnage of this man.
Oh Lord in this tragedy, You are the only one who can.
Bring about the healing, as only You can do.
Touch the shattered community, help us look to You.
Oh Lord, please stop these attacks on the innocent people.
I pray we’d lift our eyes and hearts, looking to Your steeple.
Lord, I can’t even imagine, the pain they’re going through.
How do they go on, what are they to do.
My heart is spilling over, my eyes well up with tears.
Lord, the healing of this community will take so many years.
Families planning for Christmas, now plan funerals in pain.
Oh Lord, please let this tragedy, never happen again.
Lord, bind up the broken, the shattered hearts of love.
Bring down Your healing, send peace from heaven above.

I am an Australian and I really cannot understand why Americans have not risen in the millions and supported the much needed ban on assault weapons. I was brought to tears by the loss of innocent little lives and it made me very angry. You, as the people of a great nation, have the power to stop this simply by standing up for what is right. You just can’t keep saying “what a tragedy” “The poor families” “hope it won’t happen again” because it will happen again. Aren’t you angry enough to say “enough is enough”. We had one tragedy in the 1980’s where 35 people were killed by one maniac and assault weapons were banned as a result. PLEASE… start getting angry that somebody could kill 20 babies and nothing changes.

Please do not let my profile pick bring judgement directed at me because I am 100% sincere. I was raised within a Christian type household that I am thankful for but I will not claim any religion. My relationship with the almighty is between me and him. I struggle daily looking for answers to such things like this tragedy. Just thinking about it everyday tears at my heart with questions like most of us who are morning for these beautiful young children and teachers who were and are still so innocent. My heart is so hurt and the tears are flowing as I type this and think of all who suffers and their Families. If I was a rich man, I would no longer be a rich man. If my Cabinets were full of groceries, I would no longer have full cabinets and if the Creator gave me 1 chance to take the place of the children who has suffered around the world. I would lay my life down for anyone of them. White, Black, Indian, etc…All the pain we suffer here will pass and the joy of reuniting with our loved ones will be so wonderful, there will be nothing missed on this planet because when we leave loved ones behind, it is only temporary. I am no Saint. I am not free of Sin but I do know where my bread is buttered! May the almighty give everyone who has been touched by a tragedy be washed with peace and the main Mans mercy… Blessings to all…MidNight

Sympathy prayer
Dear Lord, please comfort those in grief,
Love them, lift them, give relief
For loss they’ve suffered, sadness felt;
Make this sorrow slowly melt.
Lord, let happy memories ease,
Creating peace like a gentle breeze,
And as you help them make it through.
Draw them closer, Lord, to you.
Sincere condolences on your loss.

On behalf of the Simon family in Chicago, our thoughts and prayers are with you; now and forever. GOD IS WITH YOU, not just now, but always! Should you ever doubt that, maybe these suggestions will help: watch the Led Zeppelin movie The Song Remains The Same, with an almost 1/2hr version of Dazed and Confused; that song speaks to every emotion you have about something like this (worked for me after I heard the news). Another way of considering that song is that its a LIGHT shining through the darkness (could also be used for the next suggestion). Something else that’ll work (just watched again, and it works!), The Who movie Tommy, 1975. Great for anyone, especially the kids who were part of SHES since it shows Tommy as a happy kid until a family tragedy and his response to it (finding enlightenment with pinball). Even after his parents are killed near the end, he still finds ultimate happiness with THE SON. May take you a couple times to watch to understand all symbolism, but well worth it! Its a way to show you that GOD IS WITH YOU as you try to understand what purpose you have in life. Even if you only listen to the music in the movie its well worth it!
Hopefully, if needed, these suggestions help! With LOVE ALWAYS, the Simon family.

Dear lord please give the parents strength and courage to get through this horrible tragedy. Their children were taken from them the worst thing possible a parent can go through. Also we will never forget the teachers who gave their lives for their precious students.

Another senseless tragedy in the country. There have been way to many of these types of massacres since 1999 and they need to be stopped. My prayers go out to the people of Newtown, especially the ones who suffered loss. There is no replacing a child that is taken way to early in life. May God bless Newtown, Connecticut today and always and allow the healing to begin.

I live in Sydney, Australia and the American people can stop this senseless waste of life by banning the weapons whch cause such death and destruction of families. I cannot comprehend why you don’t jump up and down and say, enough is enough. It’s lovely to write “how your heart is breaking” and “God is the only one who can fix this” well, you can fix it and you have to stand up and be counted. These little ones, twenty innocent babies who were murdered. need not have lost their lives if this antiquated law about “the right to bear arms” had been overturned. I don;t really think your Founding Fathers a couple of hundred years ago envisaged people running around with assault rifles. I lost a brother when he was 21 and believe you me,our family never, ever got over it. Make your voices loud and clear and floow your politicians owht letters, emails and whatever means you use to have this law changed. After the Port Arthur Massacre when 35 people were by a single gunman, assault rifles were banned in this country. Never, never ever let an event like this happen in your country again…I cry for you….

Words cannot express the depth of sadness I feel over this senseless tragedy. I can only imagine the pain you feel, and wish I could take the pain away. I can pray for you, and I do. Only God can help you through this, and those close enough to you to open their arms and hold you up. Please know we have all been impacted by this act, we sorrow with you, shed our tears, and send our love and prayers. May the Lord hold you tight in his loving arms and keep you in his care as you walk through this horrible time. And even though we can’t give you the hugs in person, virtually we send you our love and will continue to pray for you for a long time to come. May God place his healing hands upon you and bring you peace.

There are no words that can express the sadness, the heartbreak I feel for the families and townspeople of Sandy Hook. The tears have not stopped flowing. I pray that God will be with you all and bring some measure of comfort. Your precious children are in His loving care now. For those brave and loving teachers who tried their best to protect the children who gave their lives trying, there has to be a special place in heaven for each of you. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

The issue is not “gun control” but rather “God control.” Until we stop putting a leash on God and turn Him loose to reign again in our country, these types of things, as horrible and unthinkable as they are, WILL continue. Madmen will always find a way to circumvent any law or laws written, and we will always have madmen among us. I know this in no way lessens the pain and anguish our friends are suffering, nothing can do that at this point (I know this because I have suffered the loss of a beloved son), but knowing that God is still on His throne can help you through those darkest of nights. We need Him desperately in our country. Turn Him loose, and let Him reign again!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected by this dreadful tragedy. It is hard to offer any words of assurance however as we approach Christmas may the Lord who came among us bringing peace and love break through the darkness of these days, Jesus, the Light of the world who promises to be God with us.

Because we are living time of wrathful atmosphere and unjustice…everything is in passing shut to a new era…
Blood of this innocences is meant to clean the way to this purpose…
God gives for all the sacrifices of victime …the status of an angel of light…
You are so Greate and Good and Right…in everything you do…God you are the everlasting light …
Very good idea from NetHugs to commemorate this way…

There is no punishment harsh enough or painful enough to punish the person who did this! Ohhhhhhhh they were just little children, why, we may never get that answer, but my heart goes out to all the familes of the children and I don’t believe that words can describe what they must be going through at this time! I’m sure the tears of grief will be flowing and I’m sure the grief will be replaced by anger someday! Dear God, please give these families your help, strength and guidance to make each day just a little easier than the day before, Amen.

My prayers are with all of those families & also all the children & families who attended the school. My prayers extend to the whole community & all the other communities affected by the news & that
includes here in Canada as well. We had a elementary school locked down just yesterday in Vancouver,B.C.,no shots were fired & the person was arrested by School Security.Yes,some of the schools in Canada now have Security workers in the schools. We no longer can take any chances of more people
getting hurt so the schools have had to hire Security to protect our teachers & our very valuable students.
I think GOD & PRAYER should be put back in the schools.

Words cannot express how helpless we here in Missouri feel about the loss of all the little angels and those who tried in vain to protect them from harm. What has our world come to that we can’t send our children to school, that we can’t go to a park, a mall, a preschool, a walk in the park, the cinemas, anywhere and everywhere that we have to look over our shoulders, for there might be evil and devastation lurking nearby? For this senseless act to have happened by a citizen of the United States is deplorable. It’s expected in the countries that live like barbarians, but this is not that kind of a country. I pray it never is. To all the families that have suffered such a great loss, we offer our prayers and thoughts of you each day. God is just as sad as those left behind are. Let’s pray to our heavenly Father this will never again happen in our great country.

I can’t put my feelings into words, it hurts that bad. My heart and prayers go out to all the families that have lost their loved ones. It hurts to think of the little children that were taken and (just before Christmas). It has taken the holiday spirit right away. I’m angry and want to shout “STOP, PLEASE JUST STOP! We’ve had enough hurt in this country, we don’t need anymore. May God help all the people that have lost their loved ones through all the tragedies that this world has endured and may he guide us all back on the right path. In Jesus’ name I pray.. Amen

There are no words that can describe the agony of losing someone you love most dearly. There are no words that can take away the pain, or even words of comfort that ease the sense of loss of someone you held so near to your heart. Especially those who never got a chance at this life as we know it. If I had only one wish to make for the families of those victims, it would be that they would know that their children will NOT inherit this curse that our country has brought upon ourselves by the denial of God in public places and the wrath of God which is resulting because of it. They had an easier way into Heaven than those of us remaining will have. It is up to God now, to either be merciful to the wicked, or pass judgment. Let us not pretend to know what is God’s will… we won’t know for awhile.
