One Day More
We never know our fate in life
From the moment of our birth
We know not the roads we’ll travel
While walking upon this earth
The tears we’ll cry, the pain we’ll bear
Is kept unknown to us
We wake each day to face the world
Living in faith and trust
Our shattered dreams, our adversities,
Things beyond our own control
Can wear us down from day to day
The worries can take their toll
If we were given just one chance
To see what our future holds
Would it weaken us beyond belief
Or make us strong and bold?
But which among us could deny
If we knew what lies in store
That we would be willing to accept
And to ask for one day more

Psalms 139:13-17
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee: for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and couriously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thy eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect: and thy book all my members are written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious are thy thoughts unto me, of God! how great is the sum of them!
God knew me from the beginning of conception. He had a plan for my life through good times and bad. He has been at work in my life since my beginning, bringing me to where I am now. My purpose is a life of service to My Creator, My Lord, my Redeemer, My Savior. I do not fear the future because I know He walks behind me to protect me, He walks beside me as my friend and guide through this life, and He walks before me to prepair all my paths!!! He has a name for every need I have. In Him I find my purpose. In Him I find true love, true peace. With Him I can face whatever the future holds!!
Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

When i think of it, i dont believe i would ever have the courage to accept what lies in store 4 me, i’d rather not know the future.

I have written poetry for years. There are times I have written poems all day and other times I have gone for weeks not writing. The point I am making is that we who write.. write from the heart. Personally I express my hurt and pain that I have experienced in my life. God speaks to me and lets me know what to write… just like He spoke to the profits..
Others can learn from our inner words and recover from their pain, because they can see the someone else has suffered as they are suffering.
your writing is magnificent !

God holds each day of our lives in His hands. What better place could they be. He loves us with an unconditional love. We needn’t worry about tomorrow because God is already there. He loves us more than any one else and he best part is He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so we might have eternal life. Praise His wonderful name.

I will tell you when I need ‘one more day’ to say my final good bye to those who love me or whom I love. This would however materrialise only if I am conscious on the previous day.

I just came home from the viewing of a beautiful young girl just 2o years old who couldn’t take the pressure of the days she had been given. Would her father say just one day more? Yes I know that he would, for you see this was his only daughter, for he had just lost his son, not more than 2years ago.
Thanks for the inspiration

When I first started being a caregiver years ago, I often looked upon someone suffering and said “not one day more God, it’s too much.” His answer was maybe a week or more that I cared for them. In that time, I learned much more than I would have in that one day….. He knows when it’s time.

I am not sure we could face what life has in store if we knew what was coming through out are lives the sheer magnitude of it would shovel us under. Good bad both would be more than we could handle . The women who has 90 years of lifes trials and tribulations or the man who will be murdered at 20. That is why we have to trust in the Lord and take one day at a time.
