Philosophy for a Happy Life
Sam Berns was diagnosed with progeria at the age of 2. It’s a very rare devastating disease that ages the body rapidly. In this video, he shares with us his philosophy for a happy and fulfilling life. Although he was only in junior high in this video, his words are wise and beyond his age. Some of us can learn a lot from what he had said. Unfortunately, Sam died shortly after this presentation. Did you learn anything from Sam’s speech? Do you want to leave any comments for Sam and his loved ones? What did you think? Please tell us in the comment section below and remember to sign up for our free newsletter.

God put an Angel among us. A wonderful, beautiful
and wise young man. He has touched many lives in his short time. Blessings to him and his family. It is a privilege to listen to his story.

What a wonderful young man! He has given more to the world in his short life than many of us do in a lifetime. Sam is a further testament to Abraham Lincoln’s philosophy, ” It is not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years.” Fly with the angels, Sam.

What an awesome piece of advice and everyone should follow Sam’s advice. My heart goes out to his family and my God bless them as I know they surely miss him as we all do. Sam is such an inspiration to us all. Young and old alike to keep a positive attitude and keep following our dreams no matter how small or how big they may be. Rest in peace Mr. Sam and you certainly touch my heart!!

After watching this young man’s speech I felt so ashamed of myself.
I have been wallowing in my own depressed mood, and after watching
Sam’s speech and his up beat attitude, I was awaken to another sense
of sadness, not my own, nor Sam’s. He has such a positive out look on
life and how to be happy in spite of trials and tribulations, but he continued
to stay happy up until he passed away. What a shame he is no longer with us.
His message could help so many people, like myself. I no longer feel depressed
because Sam put pure love and happiness in my sad heart and made me realize
that happiness is a choice not an option!

I learnt two great lessons from Sam—Do what you can do and not focus on what you can`t. Also, keep moving forward and not looking back. Two inspiring lessons for us all. May the Lord Bless his family for the love and care given to brave Sam.

Sam’s family I am sure have many lovely memories about this young man. His words uplifted my me and I am thankful to have received this inspiring video. He certainly was a very positive person. He persevered no matter what came along. We do need to accept whatever our condition might be and just move forward always. His outlook is something to everyone should reach for during their lifetime. I feel in heart that Sam is resting in peace for eternity. May GOD keep all of his family in HIS Loving Care, is my prayer.

What a beautiful soul. It brought tears to my eyes, as I think how many waste their lives when this gentle soul has such a positive outlook. May he rest in peace. God has used him to be an example to many.
