AMEN! We are lucky to have been born in the 40’s. We are all still living and had none of the restrictions kids have today. I think that they should re-introduce the “monkey bars”. Kids develop good dexterity from ‘hanging and climbing’. We cannot get “the good old days” back but we have great memories.

OUR HEAVELY FATHER certainly sends many loving things to enjoy in this life and I am happy for you. By the way, would you like to have my email Id, so we may keep in contact online. I will leave my email ID on the Nethugs comment section for you. May GODS Angels continue to watch over all of you forever, is my prayer.

Anita, I was born in 1950. But, Those were the good old days for me and my brothers and sisters even though I was around 7 or 8 years of age. I am the baby of the family, now that many of us have passed away and in Heaven. I had 23 brothers and sisters. I have over 50 nieces and nephews, and 40+ great nieces and nephews. In those days it was a time for extended family, to grow cotton and corn. At the end of a days work. We had the best time playing with the things we built for our selves to play with. I am so happy for you and the many good memories you have. May God be with you and all others, like He was with us.
Love to all- Mary Hall

Sean I read your comment and I know just exactly where you are d=coming from,, as I certainly enjoyed the good old days of the 1950’s. I lived with my husband and two small daughters in Huntington Park, California. My husband and I did a lot of ballroom dancing, which we truly enjoyed to the Big Bands back in those days. May GODs Angels continue to watch over you forever, is my prayer.

this is amazing; brings back so many wonderful memories of days gone by; the young people today don’t have a clue how much fun we had in those days

Wow!!!!! That certainly brought good memories, as those were the days we really knew how to enjoy life and clean fun. I am 93 years of age young at heart, and slightly older in other parts. Well I can’t get up and ballroom dance anymore, but I certainly able to keep the beat in in my wheelchair..

Hi Mary! Thank you, and I think all of us older generation feel exactly the same way, if we could just relive those days for even an hour, but we know that is impossible so I guess we just hold on to the memories! I live back in my hometown now and everywhere I go I see things from way back when, sooooo wonderful! I for one would not have done anything different as I had a great time especially in high school, Gee those were fun times! Actually there are four girls living here that I graduated with, amazing, although we haven’t gotten together yet, but we see a lot of school buddies when we have our big 4th of July celebration every year. Hope you all have good memories strolling down memory lane, times we will never forget, thank you lord!

A wonderful walk down memory lane , but repeating the pictures over and over was a little to much. The good old days music was wonderful! Ahhhhh, to be able to go back to those times for just a little while, simple and so much fun. The children now days just don’t know what they are missing, to bad they too couldn’t experience it for just a little while!!! Those memories are holding tight in my heart and mind, thank you lord for letting me be born in those times!!!!
