Ship Wrecked Prayers
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.
The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.
The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man’s parcel of land remained barren.
After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing.
Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing.
Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to
leave the second man on the island.
He considered the other man unworthy to receive God’s blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.
As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, “Why are you leaving your companion on the island?”
“My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them,” the first man answered. “His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything.”
“You are mistaken!” the voice rebuked him. “He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings.”
“Tell me,” the first man asked the voice, “What did he pray for that I should owe him anything?”
“He prayed that all your prayers be answered.”
For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.

Everyone is making a big hoo haa about HurricaneZandy!
Fathers assistant even wrote a letter to head office about her.
Yes, he has to manage the place with rules and regulationz
BUT it must apply to all. HurricaneKrzni is no different
From HZandi. She also cries her way along with sad stories in order
To get what she wants. She is a regular deliquent @ Church and pitches
Up yesterday with a ‘holy Mary’ image just to impress Father’s assistant.
He is so dof-I don’t think he has any sixth sense/hunches etc.
It would of been cool if Father lent him some powers cos
In this way none of the officials could fool him.
What is the difference with HZandiandHkrzni? NOTHING!
In fact, Hkrzni has more people under her control and nobody is allowed
To bar her from church. If they tried it, they will be ‘dead meat’.
She has people to come to her immediate rescue!
So, the pot must not call the kettle black.
Everyone should shut their traps about HZandi.
From Father’s view, He sees her as one of the crooks who do
Things in an open manner. Regardless of whether we do crooked things
In a sophisticated manner/a big gang or are transparent like HZandi,
Father will view the act as same.
Corruption is part of this world and Father
Even advises’Leave politics for the politicians’.
So I am not interfering in any way with U guys favourite
Lady and all. Even if U guyz appoint her as the new secretary,it is none of
Our business. Likewise, none of U should be concerned if HZandi
Has someone to wipe her ‘con crocodile tears’!
The motto for us all is M.Y.O.B.-(Mind your own business).

Just a joke. ‘A laugh a day keeps the doctor away’.
After 17 years of marriage, a man dumped his wife for his childhood sweetheart who also dumped her husband. The downtown luxury apartment was in his name and he wanted to remain there with his new love so he asked the wife to move out and then he would buy her another place. The wife agreed to this, but asked that she be given 3 days on her own there to pack up her things. While he was gone the first day, she lovingly put her personal belongings into boxes and crates and suitcases. On the second day she had the movers come and collect her things. On the third day she sat down for the last time at their candlelit dining table, soft music playing in the background, and feasted on a pound of shrimp and a bottle of chardonnay. When she had finished, she went into each room and deposited a few of the resulting shrimp shells into the hollow of the curtain rods. She then cleaned up the kitchen and left. The husband came back with his new girl and all was bliss for the first few days. Then it started, slowly but surely. Clueless, the man could not explain why the place smelled so bad. They tried everything; cleaned and mopped and aired the place out. Vents were checked for dead rodents, carpets were steam cleaned, air fresheners were hung everywhere. Exterminators were brought in, the carpets were replaced, and on it went. Finally, they could take it no more and decided to move. The moving company arrived and did a very professional packing job, taking everything to their new home…including the ‘Curtain Rods’.

This is a wisdom…and every-one has to pray for everybody…and everybody has doing the same…but also, if someone has much more than one of his friends…is his duty to help him in a material way…

Just goes to show us that prayers for others are very important and we shouldn’t be selfish and only think of ourselves. Life is too short to only think of what we want and to make it more fulfilling continue to reach out with a helping hand. This is what GOD’S word leads us to do whenever the opportunity comes our way.

We have a High Priest who is always lifting us before the Father, Jesus Christ. We don’t always know how to pray as we should, but even our utterances are acceptable before Him.

To pray for our love ones is not hard to do but to pray for those who hurt us is quiet hard to do but it is a must, not because we’re obliged to do so but because God teaches us how to love those who hurt us. Praying for those who hated us, will help us to love them more in the Lord.

Wonderful story…anothers prayers may get more attention than our own if we don’t have our hearts right at the time we pray. God can read hearts and we can only hear the words that are uttered. Many times our lives could have turned out differently if it were not for our parents or someone praying for us. Do you ever wonder how many times our lives have been spared from a terrible situation we may be in if it were not for someone praying for us that saved us? Pray as if your lives depend on it because many times it does. It is the prayer of an unseen face that may save us from many trials and troubles someday. Thank the Lord if you have godly parents or grandparents that keep you in prayer always. You are truly blessed if you do.

If, …..in ALL the world, I was “the only one” praying for “You”, would you be “blessed”? You decide….I’m “not” the “source of power”, the Lord Jesus Christ is the “Source” and the “Power”…Amen…John 15:12-13

I pray that the 1st man went back and brought the 2nd man (who prayed for him) to safety and asked for forgiveness…
Have you ever needed prayers and “felt” them surround you??? It is such a good feeling. Other people have said that they “felt” my prayers around them as well as their friends prayers for them. Prayers are POWERFUL !!! Thank you GOD for hearing our prayers and helping us…

A very touching story. Putting others interests first, is just like what Jesus Christ did. He gave his life for the interests of mankind. That was a great sacrifice.

Very beautiful story indeed! : )
God is love and love is always putting others before yourself.
None of us can know Gods ways, but we do know His commandments, and the first one is LOVE!
This story is a prime example of True love for a friend and the man who prayed for his friend, and his friend in return judged( Left ) him.
We are not to judge but to love always in all circurstances!!
