Some People
Some people won’t be happy-
Until they can make you sad,
They just won’t leave it alone-
Not unless you feel as bad.
Their misery wants your company-
And their hate wants your hope,
But we don’t have to let them-
Bring us to the end of our rope.
Some are just mean by nature-
Their hearts are full of strife,
But I will be in control-
Of who will affect my life.
For you I’ll surely pray for-
And hope for you the best,
This is what God would want-
And for that I’m surely blessed…

What a beautiful poem and oh so true. My oldest daughter has the problem of causing others to be unhappy, because she feels that way. I continually pray for her. Learned to let go and let GOD take care of the situation, as no matter how attempt to express to her that choices to reach out in love and not hurt others, that happiness would come her way.

I have learned through the years that I can choose to be the person I know God wants me to be. I try never to let another make that choice for me. This has brought a lot of peace into my life.

Skipper, your friend is So Right.. something sim.is happening to me and my teens.
My inlaws do the same thing. When I speak the truth as it is on how they neglect their grandchildren ( my teens-the only ones that go to church- ) they always put the blame on me. they are not adult enough to face that they are the ones neglecting their grandchildren. I was told by one of my elders: They will remember it all one day,when they are sick,bed ridden and need a glass of water. What goes around Comes AROUND. PROVEN FACT.

I’m going through a great amount with people that fit this ecard discription.
I was told by 3 people to just keep being myself and I will. I will be what God
wants me to be. I will Do His Will. I will be with Who GOD wants to me be with friends
/family. Iam a grown woman and I am the Spiritual Leader of my home.

GOOD FOR YOU JUDY I LIKED WHAT YOU SAID FOR, I AM ONE WHO HAS BEEN ABUSED AND HURT DEEPLY ALSO, BUT A WISE FRIEND TOLD ME THAT ME HANGING ON TO THE HURT WASN’T HURTING THE ONES WHO HURT ME,, IT WAS ONLY HURTING ME AND I HAD BEEN HURT ENOUGH.

I can truly relate, sometimes people can be hard to understand therefore making them difficult to deal with. But with God we can always overlook suc behaviors and truly find peace even if they try to Hurt us.

When I am in a “dither” and I find myself getting upset when someone says something to me that I don’t deserve…I realize that they have probably been hurt and want to hurt someone too (like this piece says.) The best thing I do is be silent and don’t answer them like they want you to. I also think to myself “What would JESUS do?” If I answer them back, it only fuels the “fire.” Man…this sure takes patience, but it is worth it. I sometimes feel sorry for them. It is not me, as they do it to other people too. As Willie Nelson once said, be nice to your enemies, it will drive them crazy. hee hee.
