Sometimes I Talk to God
[slideshow id=50]
Sometimes I talk to God
And He talks back to me.
Sometimes I believe I hear Him
Although I may not see.
Sometimes I ask Him questions
And His answer, I may recall,
Comes swiftly and surely, but
On some days I don’t hear Him at all.
But I do know if I call Him
My righteous path may be sure;
If I give Him my troubled heart
I shall be promised the cure.
God knows what’s in my heart
And He knows what’s in yours too;
So if you have a question for Him
I can tell you what to do.
Whether on your knees or on your head,
Standing in the kitchen or lying in bed,
Talk to God, converse with Him,
Recite a verse or sing a hymn.
For God knows all things–
He knows what’s in your heart;
He never tires of listening to you,
So talk to him, that’s a start.

As much as we want to talk to God, sometimes it’s difficult to find words that express the emotions of our hearts. In this excerpt from his book

God delights in our inquisitiveness. He is always ready 2 listen 2 us and talk wt us,but most times we ar too busy 2 engage in a discussion with Him. He cares and wish 2 listen 2 us. What a loving FATHER!

A day doesn’t go by that God and I don’t have “our ritual conversations”, Outside of me chatting on here with strangers, God is really the only one I have to talk to. Thank you God for your companionship, it means so much to me. Oh, a little white lie, I do have my animals that I talk to…sorry didn’t mean to leave them out.

God is “The Silent Listener” to all our prayers.
With Him by our side, the problems that we consider massive
and unsolvable, diminishes……..I do believe in the transformative
powers of prayer………..All Praise, Honor and Glory be upon Him !!!!!…..

God has always been there for me, so talking to HIM has been a great part of my life. Many times in a quite voice he has directed my way and it has always ended in a beautiful direction. When my oldest daughter was in an accident, at the age of seventeen, GOD gave me a dream before it happened to pave the way and make it easier for my husband and me. I truly thank GOd each day for HIS great love HE has given me.

Ayat al-Kursi / Surah 2: Ayat 255 / al-Baqarah
Allah – there is no god but He, the Ever-living, the Self-subsisting By Whom all subsist. Slumber overtakes Him not, nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them. And they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases. His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Great.

Sindu: Long ago I was worried about a situation and when I went to bed, I called
out to Jesus and asked Him for help. While I lay there in silence, a “thought” came into my mind, and it said “Trust Me” and I immediately knew that it came from Jesus.
GOD wants us to trust Him, too. Let go and let GOD is a favorite saying that helps
also.

Thank yoyu Elizabeth, Rosypetal, and all you others who have responded to my poem at https://www.nethugs.com. They are an amazing group of poets and I’m honored to have my poem made into an ecard for others to read and share. God is awesome is His wisdom, His love, and His mercy. He’s never wrong, He’s always fair, even though we don’t always understand why He lets bad things happen in our lives. sometimes it’s just to help us grow as Christians so that we can be useful to Him in Heaven. I need help from Him every day in this temporary world we live in. I hope my poem reaches out to others and helps them grow in their relationship to the one and only true God YHWH.

Fred: I am truly sorry to hear about your mom.
To find comfort, read 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Psalm 34:18
Revelation 21: 3-4
When alone, close your eyes and visualize your mom with you and talk to her and tell
her how much you still love her and I will bet she will say she loves you too.
Wishing you well on your journey…

Praise the Lord at all times, morn, noon and night !
How Great Thou Art, How Great Thou Art
Speak to my soul Lord Jesus,
Speak now in tend’rest tone
Whisper in loving kindness
“Thou art not left alone”
Open my heart to hear thee
Quickly to hear thy voice
Fill thou my soul with praises
Let me in thee rejoice
Speak thou in softest whispers
Whispers of love to me
Thou shalt be always conqueror
Thou shalt be always free
Speak thou to me each day, Lord
Always in tend’rest tone
let me now hear thy whisper
Thou art not left alone.

I really loved that letter you wrote from God. I’ve seen many similar things, but not that one. it’s absolutely beautiful, Amrita. (Hope I got the right person?)
I recently saw thru email the Christ Bell, someone had written Bible verses and all the lines put together made the shape of a bell. REally pretty. God Bless all of you, have a wonderful day.

Amazing Grace is in most hymn books at most churches.
Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wrech like me. I once was lost but now I’m found, was blind but now I see. Through many toil and snare I have already come. Twas grace that brought me thus far and grace will lead me on. When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we’ve no less days to sing his praise than when we first begun.

To Elizabeth, I try to forgive, not as easy as it is for God, of course. We as mere humans, have to strive constantly to imitate God and His son Jesus, who was the only perfect man on earth. But I continually talk to God and ask Him to help me be more like His son. Am glad you liked this ecard.

Elizabeth, thank you for the wisdom and advice. I will take it one step at a time to learn each line and I believe I can do it. Visualizing the words while singing each line is good advice, I will use into my rehersel. It took me a while to learn the song, Our God is an Awesome God. Every time I heard this song I would just say that line over and over again. This song makes me shout with victory of triumph and praise to God. It’s an excitement of joy I get when singing it! God bless always.

Love: Funny that you should mention learning the words to a beloved song.
“Joyful, joyful, we adore thee” I learned by saying the first line of the song over and over again for a full week. Then after remembering this, I went to the next line, and repeated it over and over again for a full week. I stumbled over the words, but by repeating them over and over again, I finally sang the WHOLE SONG !!! I also pictured the lines, like the one “hearts unfold like flowers before thee” and imagining flowers opening up…. GOOD LUCK, you can do it…with any song Blessings Elizabeth

Yes, dear it is in Psalm 66:1-20, which states, “Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! I will go ahead and sing it, Amazing Grace, from the heart and soul to God, may each word flow smoothly like a river, and nervousness be replaced with joy. Your words helps and encourage me, without words to a song, I mostly hum to fill the gaps of the song. Amazing Grace is a very old song, which I surprise I still haven’t learned the words to by now. I feel God will teach me, and the words will be permanente rooted forever in our hearts.

Sindu, I think saying God is good, is a misrepresentation of God, by putting a condition and a limit on God. I agree, God is beyond our comprehension. I have heard this question a lot, ” if God is good why is there evil in the world.” Everything has its purpose in God’s hands. I think when a person say God is good in the right way, it is a shout of honor, a song of praise, a rejoice of victory, having faith God is with you. Elizabeth, used it in the right way.

LOVE: Isn’t there somewhere in the Holy Bible that says that GOD is pleased when we make a “joyful noise” unto Him??? Go ahead and sing Amazing Grace, GOD would love to hear you sing to Him…as for the words, your loving heart will say them for you… (GOD understands.) I would never laugh at you… Sometimes I just hum when I can’t remember the words to a song. Blessings Elizabeth

Sindu…GOD has given us a vocabulary that just suits our mortal minds. If I say GOD is good, that means that my “good” is a wonderful discription of GOD that my human mind can produce. Of course GOD is more than this, I know it and GOD knows this and accepts me as I am, knowing that I LOVE Him… By accepting Jesus Christ I have indeed become a better CHRISTIAN person. I never tried that Elizabeth, to hum a hymn when I’m nervous, I would say a short prayer and meditate my focus on God and it will work. It is said humming a hymn to the Lord does wonders in the spirit world. I will put this into practice more through out the day. What are some things which makes you nervous?

GOD is always with us, though we may not be aware of it in our daily living.
I have found out that when I am nervous if I hum a hymn to myself, it seems that
our Lord is right there with us and I feel comforted. Try it, it works…
