Son Sings Bittersweet Song to Mom with Alzheimer’s
“This is a video of me playing a song to my Mom who has Alzheimer’s. This was before she moved into assisted living, when she lived at home with me and my Dad”.
“I am a little embarrassed for posting something so personal. I wasn’t expecting all the attention it’s been getting, but the fact that it has touched so many people makes makes it worth while. My Dad and 3 siblings are proud as well. Thank you everyone so much for such kind words. I hope this video promotes awareness of this horrible disease….and encourages people to give their parents a big hug”.

Vera Dear Yes we are blessed with sweet memories of our Mothers and this video certainly leaves us with a feeling of deep love that has been given to us by OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. I had the pleasure of visiting Australia way back in 1990 with my daughter and two lady friends and we truly enjoyed our visit in your country. . Would you like to be able to keep in touch with me, if so I will send my email ID through a comment on Nethugs. Please let me know, as I certainly would feel blessed to hear from you once in awhile. May GODS Angels continue to watch over you forever, is my prayer.

That touched my heart., as that caring loving son sang to his Mother to bring happiness into her life. She certainly looked happy, which is a blessing. I live in a board and care home where I have personally seen women with this disease. Sad, Sad, Sad for sure. May GODS Angels continue to watch over all of you forever , is my prayer. Young Man may GOD continue to bless you with your loving patience always.

You can see the love between them, and I know that she knew what he was singing, and who he was singing to. This is a complicated disease, and I hope more research goes into the cure. It is a very touching video, and more awareness should be made for this and many other diseases as well.

A good example to imitate and to extend even to those that are not so close to us. Nice one!
