Echoes of a time of life that seemed so innocent and sweet. I pray that even today in this uncivilized culture that has developed that there can still be found that kind of pure feeling.

I agree with Geri. I rarely go to the movies or watch them on Pay Per View as I see so few non-violent or non-R rated.

NOW THOSE WERE GOOD MOVIES, NOT LIKE MOST OF THE TRASH THEY MAKE TODAY.
SURE WISH MY GRAND KIDS COULD HAVE GROWN UP IN THOSE DAYS.

As a child I adored Debbie. When Eddie Fisher left her for Liz Taylor I hated him for hurting her so. To the above service men above, I am so happy, that you made it home safely 60 years ago. Thank you for your service, you kept me safe and free. May God Bless you with many more happy and healthy years. Annie

Oh wonderful memories. Back in the late fifties my husband was stationed in Japan. Debbie was on his flight on her way to entertain our troops. He immediately fell in love! Many years later she appeared in Baltimore and I surprised him with tickets. I suggested he write her a letter recounting how he had met her, and send it to the theater. Within a few days he received a phone call from her – still have the tape from our answering machine – asking him to call her. We both spoke to her. She very graciously put aside “better” tickets for us and invited us back stage after the show. Autographed our book and with our camera we have a picture taken with her. My husband passed away recently after almost 60 years of marriage and he never tired of telling that story! Best anniversary gift I ever gave him! I treasure that picture and still remember how kind she was. Celebrities back then were so difficult than today! Thanks for letting me reminisce.

The first movie my bride to be and I saw was Tammy in 1957. When our daughter was born in 1964, we named her Tammy.

I have always loved that song and Debbie Rynols and the movies back in the era when actors could sing and also act and they made GOOD movies.
