The Awakening
https://youtu.be/xrz2s5iYBtc
A time comes in your life when you finally get…when, in the midst of all your fears and insanity, you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out…ENOUGH! Enough fighting and crying and blaming and struggling to hold on. Then, like a child quieting down after a tantrum, you blink back your tears and begin to look at the world through new eyes.
This is your awakening.
You realize it’s time to stop hoping and waiting for something to change, or for happiness, safety and security to magically appear over the next horizon.
You realize that in the real world there aren’t always fairy tale endings, and that any guarantee of “happily ever after” must begin with you…and in the process a sense of serenity is born of acceptance.
You awaken to the fact that you are not perfect and that not everyone will always love, appreciate or approve of who or what you are…and that’s OK. They are entitled to their own views and opinions.
You learn the importance of loving and championing yourself…and in the process a sense of new found confidence is born of self-approval.
You stop complaining and blaming other people for the things they did to you – or didn’t do for you – and you learn that the only thing you can really count on is the unexpected.
You learn that people don’t always say what they mean or mean what they say and that not everyone will always be there for you and everything isn’t always about you.
So, you learn to stand on your own and to take care of yourself…and in the process a sense of safety and security is born of self-reliance.
You stop judging and pointing fingers and you begin to accept people as they are and to overlook their shortcomings and human frailties…and in the process a sense of peace and contentment is born of forgiveness.
You learn to open up to new worlds and different points of view. You begin reassessing and redefining who you are and what you really stand for.
You learn the difference between wanting and needing and you begin to discard the doctrines and values you’ve outgrown, or should never have bought into to begin with.
You learn that there is power and glory in creating and contributing and you stop maneuvering through life merely as a “consumer” looking for you next fix.
You learn that principles such as honesty and integrity are not the outdated ideals of a bygone era, but the mortar that holds together the foundation upon which you must build a life.
You learn that you don’t know everything, it’s not your job to save the world and that you can’t teach a pig to sing. You learn the only cross to bear is the one you choose to carry and that martyrs get burned at the stake.
Then you learn about love. You learn to look at relationships as they really are and not as you would have them be. You learn that alone does not mean lonely.
You stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes. You learn to distinguish between guilt and responsibility and the importance of setting boundaries and learning to say NO.
You also stop working so hard at putting your feelings aside, smoothing things over and ignoring your needs.
You learn that your body really is your temple. You begin to care for it and treat it with respect. You begin to eat a balanced diet, drinking more water, and take more time to exercise.
You learn that being tired fuels doubt, fear, and uncertainty and so you take more time to rest. And, just as food fuels the body, laughter fuels our soul. So you take more time to laugh and to play.
You learn that, for the most part, you get in life what you deserve, and that much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You learn that anything worth achieving is worth working for and that wishing for something to happen is different than working toward making it happen.
More importantly, you learn that in order to achieve success you need direction, discipline and perseverance. You learn that no one can do it all alone, and that it’s OK to risk asking for help.
You learn the only thing you must truly fear is fear itself. You learn to step right into and through your fears because you know that whatever happens you can handle it and to give in to fear is to give away the right to live life on your own terms.
You learn to fight for your life and not to squander it living under a cloud of impending doom.
You learn that life isn’t always fair, you don’t always get what you think you deserve and that sometimes bad things happen to unsuspecting, good people…and you learn not to always take it personally.
You learn that nobody’s punishing you and everything isn’t always somebody’s fault. It’s just life happening. You learn to admit when you are wrong and to build bridges instead of walls.
You learn that negative feelings such as anger, envy and resentment must be understood and redirected or they will suffocate the life out of you and poison the universe that surrounds you.
You learn to be thankful and to take comfort in many of the simple things we take for granted, things that millions of people upon the earth can only dream about: a full refrigerator, clean running water, a soft warm bed, a long hot shower.
Then, you begin to take responsibility for yourself by yourself and you make yourself a promise to never betray yourself and to never, ever settle for less than you heart’s desire.
You make it a point to keep smiling, to keep trusting, and to stay open to every wonderful possibility.
You hang a wind chime outside your window so you can listen to the wind.
Finally, with courage in you heart, you take a stand, you take a deep breath, and you begin to design the life you want to live as best as you can.

This is so beautiful especially so because there is someone that I cared about and I’m loosing him. Or, I should say he’s loosing me. He betrayed me and hurt me in a way that I will never understand the reasoning behind it. But I need to pick myself up, brush myself off and start all over again. This inspirational writing cleared my head somewhat, and I forwarded this message to him, hoping that because he is now alone and we’re thousands of miles apart, he might understand what I’ve been trying to tell him all week. He needs to read the words calmly, quietly, and study what all this means. If he reads in between the lines he will get the message. I did love you James, remember that always.

There is soooooooooo much to contemplate in ‘The Awakening’;
Should be read many more times than once to comprehend its depth
(At least for me, I needed to re-read (without any distractions)).

It is quite true through the paths of life we travel, those who come into our lives, tough our hearts in the most special place. To always be there for each other, to show how much we care and love someone. Keep focused on the positive things upon life, understanding to love ones self, and to let someone love you to share everything that’s deep inside, to let all the pain out. How life can be rough, yet so beautiful, so wonderful to cherish always every special moment, time spent with someone special. Your heart always open always thankful for we are truly blessed. There is someone very very special to me, a special woman I love so very much, so much more then she will ever know *tear* She lives far from me, She is in my heart every single moment of every single day. I will always be here for her day or night for she means the entire world to me. I will be here for her till the end of time, I love her so.. We are Best Friends, I care for her so much more. The fire in my heart will burn forever for her always I will never give up on her, she has my heart forever (((((((((((((((((( Beautiful ))))))))))))))))))))

I have lived through these stages, come to these conclusions, and work hard at walking this path. When you believe, it becomes second nature. Having such a path of wisdom to reflect upon helps to keep me grounded and uncompromised and reinforces my philosophies that we need to keep our eyes, ears, minds and souls open because we never stop learning and (hopefully) growing until the day we die. I think I will print this and frame it for the wall above my desk.

Father said that this world is a big hotel, where people from all parts come and stay for various periods, after which they all their different ways. Think of a number of logs floating in a river. One wave or current brings them together, another current comes along and parts them. In the same way do we meet and part. We come, meet and make friends or enemies, and then depart.
William Shakespeare said ‘All the World’s a stage
and all the men and women are merely players,
they have their exits and their entrances,
and one man in time plays many parts.’
Nobody is perfect. If we forgive each other , we will be automatically forgiven by
Father and will give Him a good name. God is beyond our comprehension.

Great message…but I cannot help but notice in some of the comments how reglion became a reason for this message (receiving it or who ever created it). It is obvious those who reference Dr. J and God did not READ the message…it is YOU, no one else, no imaginary or otherwise beings, that makes life happen…GOD is what got you into trouble in the first place…read again and think about it.

In life we always learn things by ourselves and from these learning we happen to morally educate ourselves and that’s where values, character and moralities come out. All these and other factors in life count as we continue in this journey of our life. But do you know what awaits for you at the end of the road? that is our destiny. We must believe that our destiny is not just molded by us but preppared by the mighty God above…. We may try to change it but it will not, we may try to redirect the plan but it’s already set. whether we’ll like it or not if it’s meant to be it will be…. I believe that God has something store for me. if I need to wait patiently until it’s ready. I will. For I believe, he’ll give me the best at his most precious time

This really hit me hard as I read it. There has been distension between my daughter-in-law and myself and it puts my son right in the middle of it. I am one blessed woman to have a son and daughter like them and two of the most precious grandsons a mother could ever ask for and I am missing all of them so very much. I hate for things to be the way they have been and hope that when she reads this, she will be as touched as I was. God has really been working on me lately about my feelings and my family whom I miss so very much. I just pray to God that he will forgive me and that my kids will forgive me and let me be a part of their lives. Charlie and Amy, I love you and I miss you both very dearly.
