Things
If tomorrow I lose everything
All the things I’ve gained ’til now
If they were all just taken away
I know I’d survive somehow
Things are nice to have, I know
They make life much easier too
They bring certain comforts to your world
As you struggle your way through
I really don’t care about the things
That I’ve acquired up ’til today
They can come and go so easily
I’ve lost many things along the way
Material things aren’t important to me
They’re replaceable, that is true
There’s only one thing I’d hate to lose
That’s the love I found with you!

Dear Anita:
My heart is deeply touched by you and the hundreds of people praying for me. You have no idea what this means to me. It is now 3:58 a.m. on Saturday morning. I wasn’t on the computer all day yesterday….the pain was so bad that I slept the entire day, and entire night. The only thing that got me up in between were my two service dogs that needed to go out, be fed, and pain killers for myself. Took the pain killers, went back to bed and just slept the day and night away. I don’t know whether it is the pain that is bringing me down, lack of food, I have gatorade, ginger ale and water which is keeping me hydrated, but I have no strength to do anything. The dogs are sleeping as well which is so unlike them, usually they are up and about, go on the deck to lull in the sun and bark at the bird and squirrels….lol….but I didn’t hear them doing that yesterday. I didn’t hear anything yesterday, I was in such a sound sleep. I have no appetite, not feeling anything but pain, and my toes and fingers are numb. Breaking out into chills and sweats but no fever. I don’t want to burden anyone Anita, not you, not the hundreds of people that are praying for me, but know it means a lot to me that strangers are reaching out to me in prayer. Maybe the reason for the sleep isn’t just due to the pain killers, but the fact that I want so desperately to get a job and pay off the heavy debt that I’m in. But I just don’t have the strength right now to get up and look for a job. I’m watching what little finances I have, I’m on a fixed income. I’m 65 years old, well versed in many ways, well educated, so it saddens me that right now I can’t get a job. I know that I would feel much better working. I’m worried about my one service dog, he and his brother are both 5 1/2 years old. But my dog has cataracts and is going blind from diabetes. He saved my life twice in the last two years, I want to contact the shelter that I got him from and volunteer to work for them for free if only they would give him the eye surgery that he needs. He is too young to go blind, I can’t afford the $3,000.00 plus for the surgery, and he is my service dog. I desperately need him as he is trained with his brother to protect me. I need that feeling of security. God in His goodness I know will see me through this, perhaps God is testing my faith, my faith is strong Anita, but my health is weak. I will get through all this, I’m a positive, optimistic Christian. I believe in God, and everything happens for a reason. This is no different. Please continue on with the prayers, and I will do my best in keeping everyone posted. Please pray to God that the shelter once I contact them will allow me to work on a volunteer level to pay off my dog’s surgery if it is God’s will. I have my dog trained to count steps as he has fallen down the steps here in the house twice. He has walked into walls and furniture. He stays by my side for guidance, yesterday, while I slept he was in the same place on the floor beside me when I woke up. Bless his heart. He stared me down to go out, that’s what woke me. Anyway, I said enough, I just wanted to thank you and the hundreds of people praying for me. It truly touched my heart and I feel that I found a new friend in you, and that also means a lot since I’m alone without my animals. God bless you Anita. Peace, joy & love to you, your sister in Christ Lola

My dear friends. I’m hanging by a thread. I’m searching for help, so far nothing. Keep those prayers coming please. Thought I would be in the hospital on Sunday. The pain is excruciating, the stress is unbearable, and I really don’t have the energy to get up and do anything because of the pain. Please just continue storming heaven for me, I haven’t given up in God, but too sick to handle much more. I’m on water, ginger ale and gatorade. Lost quite a bit of weight. Have to save anything I can to pay big taxes. Still have a roof over my head, but, for how long I don’t know. The bank is waiting for me to pay them back, can’t sell the house (nor do I want to) until the bank is paid off. Everything is in God’s hands now. I had a major yard sale, estate sale, and gave things away. I wanted so much to keep those things that I’ve cherished, I hope those that have my things take care of them. The only thing I kept was the nativity set given to my mother when my father was killed on 12/22/1951 in a car accident. I can’t part with that, but all other things were sold. I can’t talk about it, it saddens me to much. God bless you all.

I’m in the process of loosing everything. I have no food, no family, my friends are out of state, no local ones here to rely on. I’m in debt because of medical issues, because of taxes, because of utilities. I just want God to take me away with Him, no worries, no cares, and just once feel real love. I’m going to loose my home soon as I was hit by a truck in 2009…took out a Home Equity Line of Credit, found out Medicare if I win the lawsuit will be taking whatever I get from the lawsuit all they paid out, the attorney will take the top portion, and I get nothing but pain and suffering. From 2009 to 2013 I had to take out the Home Equity LIne of Credit to pay bills, now I have to pay the bank back, and don’t have the money or health to get a job, so my home is being taken from me, there is no food, I’m living on water….doctors tell me I need more than water….well, isn’t that a hoot?? I’ve lost over 55 lbs from the pain I’ve been in, so what, what is it to wake up to for me? Just another day of counting the dots on the ceiling…283 to be exact. Glad you all can wake up to a new day, God bless you all.

I am happy for every day God gives me…and with my new dawn…God planed for me…
I let the past behind…and I am going with all the speed forward…
Sometimes is good to say goodbye…

“It is Awesome”. If one wakes up every morning with the awe of just being alive…An discover each day the magnificent, awesome beauty in God’s world. Explore and embrace life in yourself and in everyone you see each day. Let those who Love you help you;Trust enough to be able to take, look with hope to the horizon of today, for today is all we truly have. And always believe in miracles.God Does. Jesus Loves You And So Do I. Amen. Brother Alvin Roy,

In life we acquire material things for our esteem needs, exhibiting our wealth and success. The only thing of real value is a good relationship with the one you love, to endure the test of time. Through this economy and this changing world it is the one most precious gift that holds true.

Moonbeam: I read last year that there is some evil country in Europe that allows the husband to beat or kill his wife if he is unhappy with her… What if the wife is unhappy with her husband… what can she do ??? Such mid century minds that should be
voted out of their lives… Come into the 21st century where tolerance and love is the normal thinking… They are disgusting and evil… (the country in Europe.)
May GOD have mercy on their souls…

it is very well say of life ! we all need things to live on, but they can be replaced, but love cannot! but then again, we also need to live! so, the poem is such a good statement for our hearts and souls!

Kudos to the author.
A wise man said something like it’s no use gaining the whole world but
losing your soul. Yes, Material stuff is not the ultimate and is replaceable and if we experience LOVE we will automatically be content. God is beyond our comprehension.

Hey, Samuel Abies,,,,are you sure you know what you are talking about? In what country does a husband kill his wife for that? Where are you from? A different planet or time zone? WoW, I think that you are just writing to be commenting! Just WHAT are you trying to say?

only one thing l know in this world, is, every other thing can pass and fade away true love never pass nor fade,it’s stronger than the love of husband and wife, true love, true friendship,l’ve seen were husband never loved their wife after so many years together he can still kill the wife for one reason or the other,so with the wife, children though living in the same house with their parent no peace nor love.but l’ve also seen even a distance friends love mutually more than human lmagination, that is true love,if u have this true love my dear, keep it to the end,is not something to loose.
