We will miss you dearly. “Today I Started Loving You Again” is a song written by Merle Haggard and Bonnie Owens. Those old country Western songs were from what they had experienced in their private lives.There was a story in every one. of them.Today the modern country con’t compare to the old ones.

Merkel was one of the best & his music was second to none..in his early days he was an extremely handsome young man..

Loved him then……….always will. I was married to a guy who looked a lot like him……..he died in 2007. Was I lucky, or what? I’m 83 & miss my guy, as well as Merle. Good guys & good country singers seem to be long gone.
