Back in the late 1950s and early 60s, i was lucky enough to own a Wollensak reel to reel tape machine. Each fully recorded tape would play of three hours total, and I had twenty tapes and still counting. I had speakers all of our apartment in NYC, and drove my poor mom mad with my music coming from all over. In1961i found myself in the army for two years, and my wife and i bounced allover, before ending up in France for a year.enjoy
I am now close to eighty years old and my hearing went south some time ago. The tapes were replaced with CDs, but my hearing is sbitii can no longer enjoy my oldies from the doo-wop era. I miss my music so much, but the hearing problems run in my family so all i have are memories, of Roy Orbitson, Buddy Holly, The Drifters and the like, plus those great NYC Dee Jays like Morray the K, Cousin Brucie etc.
