Words of Strength
[slideshow id=32]
Think about getting rich:
friendships are priceless, time is invaluable,
health is wealth, and love is a treasure.
Create a nest egg of beautiful memories
that you can dip into from time to time
to ease any sorrows.
Have the kind of remembrances
that raise you up with their worth
and keep you there with their wonder.
Always have a secret supply of hopes on hand
to help you plan your tomorrows.
Remember that when you invest in your dreams
it is impossible to overpay.
Give away smiles,
and watch them come back to you
a hundred times over.
Stuff your pockets with kindness and optimism;
there is nothing more precious in the world.
I’m sharing this advice with you today
because you are an important piece
in the puzzle of my life.

A professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see & asked the students.
“How much do you think this glass weighs?”
’50gms!’ ….. ’100gms!’ …..’125gms’ …the students answered.
“I really don’t know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is: What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?”
‘Nothing’… the students said.
‘Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?’ the professor asked.
‘Your arm would begin to ache’ said one of the student.
“You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”
“Your arm could go numb, you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!”… ventured another student & all the students laughed.
“Very good. But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?” asked the professor.
‘No’… was the answer.
“Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?” The students were puzzled.
“What should I do now to come out of pain?” asked professor again.
“Put the glass down!” said one of the students… “Exactly!” said the professor.
Life’s problems are something like this. Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK.
Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache. Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.
It’s important to think of the challenges or problems in your life,
But EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to ‘PUT THEM DOWN’ at the end of every day before You go to sleep.
That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh &strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!
We have to remind ourselves to
*** PUT THE GLASS DOWN ***

Life is too short to ‘fret and cry’ !
I listened to an interesting little story in Church on Sat afternoon.
It went something like this:
There was a woman who cried @ her Master’s feet
Regarding the loss of her son. He said to her ‘When your son
Was a little boy and very immersed in playing with his toys, what did U
Do in order to get him to pitch up for mealtime?’
The lady replied: ‘I used to take the toys away’.
The Master said: ‘Well, all that has happened is for your
Own good. Attachments are taken away in order
To pitch up for our Spiritual Mealtime!
Although we just know in theory, it helps bigtime
In handling issues that are beyond our control.
Anyways, NOTHING happens without Father’s permission
So everything that happens, happens for our good.
Everyday is Thanksgiving Day.
God is beyond our comprehension.

Why are U showing off today?
Is it because your favourite lady waltzed in
With a stunning ‘sexi sari’ look?????

Our Father’s designated assistant’s sermon is so interesting. He always has a warm and loving demeanor.
I apologise if I came across as ‘instructive’! Father’s assistant did confirm that Father did NOT want us to be obsesses with each other but attach ourselves to something HIGHER (The Word).
Anything sealed with the ‘Word of God is eternal. It does NOT mean that I am instructing someone to betray their fam/friends and run to me!
I did say it before and I say it again…’YOU ARE FREE,Dear Friend’!
We are NOT answerable to each other and it is NOT in order for us to give each other ‘instructions’! Our Mom’s are only allowed to give us instructions in this world. Otherwise Father is our Boss.
Father has given us instructions.
We can try our best only-live in the
Will of God.

Hold Your Head High
Standing for what you believe in regardless of the odds against you,
and the pressure that tears at your resistance
…is COURAGE.
Keeping a smile on your face when inside you feel like dying,
for the sake of supporting others
…is STRENGTH.
Stopping at nothing and doing what’s in your heart that you know is right
…is DETERMINATION.
Doing more than is expected, to make another’s life a little more bearable,
without uttering a single complaint
…is COMPASSION.
Helping a friend in need, no matter the time or effort,
to the best of your ability
…is LOYALTY.
Holding your head high
And being the best you know you can be when life
seems to fall apart at your feet,
Facing each difficulty with the confidence that
time will bring you better tomorrows,
And never giving up…
…is CONFIDENCE.
Hold your head high
and make your life better every day!
