These clothes were so elegant. I love them. A different time for sure. So romantic and classy. Grew up in this era and thoroughly enjoyed it. Another time gone by but such wonderful memories

These were very elegant garments we wore in those days. I was married in June 1946 and in November 1950 our first child was born. The pace in those days for us on Maryland’s Eastern Shore was a bit slower
even though there was not a lot of money, we stretched it and made-do with many things that other families discarded. We listened to more radio; purchased our first TV in 1951. That was a big step. Farm chores were many, especially with dairy cows to milk twice a day, calves to feed also with about 25 of the 50 milk cows calving through the year. It was not the type of life many young couples lived in that era of the century, but it was our choice. Our children grew up knowing the value of money, learning the
many things we did on the farm that other youngsters would never experience. I do not think that anyone
in our family regretted our live on the farm of nearly 400 acres.

Sounds as if you had a wonderful and meaningful life where you grew up. Not always easy, but you learned many values that are not apparent in so many young people today. Sad to see. Thank you for sharing.

Sheer Elegance! No ripped jeans, and slouchy off-the-shoulder tops with bra straps showing.
Very beautiful indeed. Those were the times – good clothes.

I love the style, back then wished it would come back, so you wony have to look these days people going around half naked
