Christmas Is Remembering
Christmas is remembering…
The road to Santa Claus,
The blessed time of childhood
That meant so much…because
It held the tinseled magic
Of fairyland array,
When all the world was laughter…
And life was only play.
Christmas is remembering…
A tree ablaze with light,
The family gathered closely
And knowing deep delight.
Exchanging gifts and sharing,
The gaiety and song
That star the festive season…
Each time it comes along.
Christmas is remembering…
Our friends who’re far and near,
By giving and receiving…
A season always dear.
The mistletoe and holly,
As scarlet tapers glow,
The Christ Child in a manger…
So very long ago.

May the Christmas spirit you feel not end with today; rather may it be with you every night as you meditate. Then in the silence of your own mind, as you drive away all restless thoughts, Christ Consciousnes will come. If we all follow the spirit of Jesus we shall surely experience every day his presence within us.
Merry Christmas to all my friends and love ones.

I remember Christmas…in family…with two children…with Santa coming, always in person of a friend…
The gifts they received…the carols they were singing…

LOVE IT. SO TRUE. SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO HAVE A “REAL” CHRISTMAS. MAKING MEMORIES WITH MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME. I HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHIC MIND AND I LOOK BACK TO RE-LIVE EVERY LITTLE THING WITH MY CHILDREN WHEN THEY WERE GROWING UP. IT’S SO PRECIOUS. NOW THEY ARE SCATTERED OVER THE COUNTRY AND CANNOT GET HOME VERY OFTEN. WISH THERE WAS A SCANNER THAT COULD SCAN MY MIND AND THEN COPY IT TO A DISC TO SEND TO MY CHILDREN AND WE COULD WATCH IT TOGETHER AND THEY COULD RE-LIVE IT WITH ME. MAYBE, SOMEDAY THE TECHNICAL/ELECTRONIC WORLD WILL BE ABLE TO DO THAT. HA!! NOT IN MY LIFETIME, IF EVER,(BUT, I AM A BELIEVER IN MIRACLES) IS THE PROBLEM, I AM GETTING OLD(ER). HA!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE AND A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.

Dear Darlene,
I was just complaining about having to work 12 long hard hours last night at the hospital. Then I remembered your situation…it’s good to have a job. I was just listening to one of my patients complaining about how his mom nagged him about taking care of himself. Then I remembered our situation…our mom died and is no longer here to nag us, to hug us, to love up on us, to fix her delicious candied yams for Christmas. I wish she was here to do all that and more…then I remembered she is in heaven celebrating her NEW life with Jesus and GOD and then I’m OK. We really are blessed….I’ll remember.
Love, Linda Your Lil Sister 🙂
PS: I’m going to try to cook Ma Bell’s Candied Yams for our Christmas Celebration…I’ll try 🙂

To everyone, Merry Christmas! This year has been bitter sweet with a couple of job losses in our family, and then we lost our Mom. But my son got baptized and married and I gain a daughter. This holiday will be different but celebrated with lots of good memories from Christmas pass. This poem bring me back to a time when all things were good and warm and cheerful. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, so beautifully accurate of many of our lives and Christmas Memories, so dear to our hearts. Growing up in a quaint little NJ town, surrounded by dearest family and life long friends, I was very blessed for this rich experience am thankful that Christmas always gives me a beautiful opportunity to once again share these precious memories with all the people I made them with and love the most in the world.
I can remember going home as an adult and Mother, visiting this lovely Methodist Church for a Christmas Concert my family was part of. In the pew in front of me was the dear old doctor who saved my life as a young child, when I had a fatal virus. He reached for my hand and I remembered the warmth of his, way back when. There were countless neighbors with great joy in those old faces, welcoming me home. Experiencing this in Christ’s home was the greatest gift of all. No matter how far our destinies lead us, there is no place like home.
