Everyday Joy
Find everyday joy
in the simple things in life…
The smell of hot coffee and pancakes in the morning,
Fireflies flickering in the clear night air,
The cool morning fog as the sun comes up
and warms the day.
The colors of a beautiful and peaceful sunset,
A bee buzzing in a patch of spring flowers,
The kindness in the smile of a stranger.
The warm feeling of a hug
from someone who loves you,
The quiet sound of the ocean on the shore,
The twinkling of the stars in the sky…
A thought from someone who calls you friend.

People are missing out on a very special personal relationship when they only seek the hand of Jesus and not his face.

I am so cosy in bed and Mom says
To me ‘It’s getting late, U have to shower and change for Church’!
She very sweetly took ipad away and said
‘I know that it is cold and U feel like resting in bed
But understand that Father is your priority.
I just smiled and said ‘Of course, I love Father and his beautiful teachings’.
Enjoy this special day

Joyce Meyer is oh so inspirational and Spiritually charged.
I love it when she says ‘Don’t allow anyone to steal your joy’!
A little hungama @ the office created by your friend’s son-in-law.
My aunt is NOT happy for him to depend on Boet for everything
Because he claims to know nothing re. How to go about business?
He gossips for Africa about his mom-in-law which is
NOT fair cos they have his best interests @ heart.
She advised him to get a job which makes so much sense!
To make matters worse, Boet is roping me in to help this idiot!
I always do as I am told to do by Boet cos he is my Boss @ work.
However, as much as I care for Boet I will slowly but surely remove myself
From his business. We cannot cry over any ugly decisions made in the past but
We can certainly make decisions which have a logical conclusion.
Nobody has anything personal against him.
We just cannot tolerate his ungratefullness toward
His in laws who have done so much for him to date but he continues to
Criticise them. He also pretends to know nothing!
Business is NOT rocket science! It is a simple process so why
The hell do people want to have tons of meetings about it
Instead of just getting on the job yourself! If U require staff,
By all means employ them but do not get another company owner and staff
To do all your work. This is daylight robbery!
Aunt says that she and I must get out before the new development starts!
This guy apparently is going to be in some way linked with our company.
Anyways, I don’t feel guilty about running away together with aunt.
We want to be happy, that’s all.
We cannot allow anyone to ‘Steal our Joy’!
People can put wool over Boets eyes but not over
Ours! I won’t question Boet and likewise he has no right to
Question aunt and I.
With Father by our side always, how can we not be full of joy.
Joyce Meyer
Seek God’s face and not His hand. When you seek His face, His hand will always be open.

A scratch golfer hits his ball three hundred yards straight down the fairway, and it hits a sprinkler and careens off into the woods. He finds the ball, but trees surround it.
He s pissed, says what the hell, grabs his nine-iron, and hits the ball as hard as he can. It bounces off a tree back at the golfer’s head and kills him.He arrives in heaven, and God himself is at the Pearly Gates to greet him.
Looking up his records, God sees that the guy golf’s and says, “Are you any good?”The golfer looks at God and says, “I got here in two, didn’t I?”

“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”- Mother Teresa

Clay Balls (Author Unknown)
A man was exploring caves by the seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn’t look like much, but they intrigued the man so he took the bag out of the cave with him.
As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could. He thought little about it until he dropped one of the balls and it cracked open on a rock. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone.
Excited the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each contained a similar treasure.
He found thousands of dollars worth of jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left. Then it struck him. He had been on the beach a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in treasure, he could have taken home tens of thousands, but he just threw it away.
It’s like that with people. We look at someone, maybe even ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn’t look like much from the outside. It isn’t always beautiful or sparkling so we discount it. We see that person as less important than someone more beautiful or stylish or well known or wealthy. But we have not taken the time to find the treasure hidden inside that person by God.
There is a treasure in each and every one of us. If we take the time to get to know that person, and if we ask God to show us that person the way He sees them, then the clay begins to peel away and the brilliant gem begins to shine forth.
May we not come to the end of our lives and find out that we have thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in bits of clay.
May we see the people in our world as God sees them.<3 ({})

“The paradox of our time”
(by George Carlin)
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years.
We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space.
We’ve done larger things, but not better things.
We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.
These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.
It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete…
Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.
Remember, to say, “I love you” to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

We would have a hard time finding this kind of joy without GOD in our lives. HE is the great creator of all the great things that brings joy and I truly say hallelujah to this each day. I am able to enjoy the beautiful morning glory vines that grow on the wall in the backyeard, where I live, at a board and care home, in California. We all need to take time and to smell the roses, as the old saying goes. May all of you have nice day and all of those in the future.

A simple kiss and hug
A simple thing to do,
It’s just for you my dear
Comes from the heart, it’s true
A simple smile is all
It doesn’t cost a dime,
Stays forever with you
And till the end of time.

I love morning, especially to experience the world awakening, hear the first bird song, while I brew my fresh coffee and prepare a beautiful, healthy breakfast. No greater wealth.
I love sunset at the beach, the consist and peaceful soundings of the waves crashing on shore in the twilight. The beautiful moon light over the vast ocean with ships in the distance.
