Forever Again
You asked me if I loved you
And I had to stop and wonder why
Can’t you see it in my smiling face
Or here shining in my eyes
Then I got to thinking
why should you know its true
If I don’t take the time to speak
and say these words to you
I love you in the morning
when the dew kisses the rose
when songbirds greet the rising sun
that’s when my heart always knows
I love you at noontime
with the sun high above my head
when dishes need doing
but I come to you instead
I love you at twilight
as the sunset blushes the night
when the day drifts into darkness
and you are my only light
I’ll love you til forever
That’s a long, long time they say
But my heart knows you are my someone
Til time just fades away
I love you in the morning
at noontime
In the twilight of my years
Forever’s not that long
To spend with you
You chase away the fears

I would love to have someone in my life to love and respect me for who I am, and not treat me with abuse but with love. I’ve known abuse from childhood up to the present sorry to say, so if someone truly and honestly loved me I really wouldn’t know how to handle it. Pathetic wouldn’t you agree? The only one that truly loves me and I truly believe in is GOD. He is my best companion and I love Him with every ounce of my being. Without His loving arms wrapped around me I never would have survived in this life. Anyway, it was a beautiful poem, and if you are lucky enough to have someone truly love or has loved you, never forget that feeling. You are the richest person in the world with love, respect and good health, and having God in your life.

This is truly a grand poem of love and I appreciate every word. I was blessed to have my loving husband with me for forty years and happy to say that I have many wonderful memories to this very day. He went home to OUR HEAVENLY FATHER over 29 years ago, but I still feel the great love we had, which brought me to point of never looking for another man. I thank GOD for choosing this special man to be a part of my life always will.
