Friendship is a Blessing
Friendship is a blessing
it’s the best you have to share,
The talents and the wisdom,
the capacity to care…
It’s being there to lend support,
whatever needs arise,
It’s making sure that others know
they’re special in your eyes…
Friendship is a blessing,
and, to all who have a friend,
It’s one of the most precious gifts
that life could ever send.

Dear Ivy Christina: I can’t believe that you wrote to me and said you wanted to be my friend. I think God is sending me a sign through you. Your name “Christina” first part “Christ” must be a message from God. I would be honored for you to be my friend. I accept your offer. But are you really sure? I’m going through such a crises now by myself, I don’t want to bring you down. I’ve had to postpone my surgery until December 1st or thereafter due to insurance won’t pay for everything until then. And, until then I’m in a great deal of pain and trying to get things done…such a slow process. I have to get the house in order somehow so I can walk when I get home and not fall over anything. Long story, but yes, I need a friend to talk to, so should we talk on here or give e-mail addresses? I don’t know how this works, do you? Have a beautiful day and thank you for writing.

Dear Lola,
Glad to know you accepted my offer. Is it ok for you to exchange messages through this site? Anyway, it was from here I read your comment. I’ve started praying for you after I read your message. Don’t lose hope. God is always with you. I will always include you in my prayers.

Dear Ivy Christina: I wrote you a note on here with my e-mail address, and it apparently got deleted. Because it’s not on here. I guess we will have to continue to be writing to each other on here to keep in touch, which makes it difficult. There’s is so much I would like to say as you being a new friend, but its irrelevant to the postings on here. I understand. Please continue to keep me in your prayers, that’s the most important thing I need right now. Pray that I find somebody to stay with me after surgery, I’ve contacted so many agencies for the aging, but all negative responses. They’re willing to give me someone 4 hrs a day, 2-3 days a week. I need someone 24-7 because both knees are being replaced. Just pray that God puts someone in my path. Many thanks for wanting to be there to support me as a friend. That in itself means so much.
Your new friend,
Lola

To Admin at NetHugs.com: I was wondering if you would possibly send my e-mail address to Ivy Christina on here or at her e-mail address. I’m widowed twice, live alone, and having two knee replacements. We want to be able to talk beyond here, e-mail each other, and be new friends. I have no local friends, all my friends are out of state, and even though we e-mail each other and talk by phone, I’m going to have surgery (knee replacements) in both knees. I’m facing this alone, and I’m terrified. I need someone to talk to, support me, talk me into positive thoughts. I sent Ivy Christina an earlier e-mail with my e-mail address, but if you gave it to her, maybe that is the proper protocol. Please if you are allowed please do this for me. I’m so scared, so lost, so alone and someone is reaching out to me to be a friend just to talk. That would mean so much to me. Many thanks for your consideration in this matter.
Respectfully,
Lola
