My Resignation
I am hereby officially tendering
my resignation as an adult. I have
decided I would like to accept the
responsibilities of an 8 year-old again.
I want to go to McDonald’s and think
that it’s a four star restaurant.
I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud
puddle and make a sidewalk with rocks.
I want to think M&Ms are better than
money because you can eat them.
I want to lie under a big oak tree and
run a lemonade stand with my friends on
a hot summer’s day.
I want to return to a time when life was
simple; When all you knew were colors,
multiplication tables, and nursery
rhymes, but that didn’t bother you,
because you didn’t know what you
didn’t know and you didn’t care.
All you knew was to be happy because you were
blissfully unaware
of all the things that should make you worried or
upset.
I want to think the world is fair.
That everyone is honest and good.
I want to believe that anything is
possible. I want to be oblivious
to the complexities of life and be
overly excited by the little things
again.
I want to live simple again. I
don’t want my day to consist of
computer crashes, mountains of paperwork,
depressing news, how to survive more days
in the month than there is money in the
bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness,
and loss of loved ones.
I want to believe in the power of
smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth,
justice, peace, dreams, the imagination,
mankind, and making angels in the snow.
So . . . here’s my checkbook
and my car-keys, my credit card bills
and my 401K statements.
I am officially
resigning from adulthood.
And if you want to discuss this
further, you’ll have to catch me
first, cause……..
……”Tag! You’re it.”
Pass this to 10 people and brighten
their day by helping them remember
the Simple things in Life.
((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))
Hope Ya’ll join me!

CHILDHOOD is a beautiful stage in life. Let children fully enjoy it. But don’t spoil them too much. Adulthood is at the door waiting for them, all the same

After reading this, I laughed, sang at the top of my lungs, danced and smiled…I
then happen to look out my window and the squirrels stopped their eating and the birds were looking at me…How hilarious !!! I could just hear them saying, Go girl, go…and I DID !!! GOD wants us to be joyful and thank Him for His blessings…
Even in this world of sadness sometimes, thank GOD for all of His blessings…don’t forget them…excuse me…I will now start dancing, singing again…Come…join me !!!

its never too late for everything to anyone…u cant appreciate the childhood days untill u become older ,,but i knew when u were a child u wish to get older..go out and do what u want..feel what u wanted to be..as long as u dont do any harm to others …its child in you ,,,be innocent sometimes but avoid ignorance …children are always a bundle of joy because they dont know how to hurt people…so as long as u didnt hurt anyone consider urself young as a child… even in heart…let wrinkle worry for the itself…hehehehehehe

Do you sometimes want to do things (that are nice) and hesitate doing them because of what others might say??? THINK…if you are a child, you don’t worry about such things, you just DO IT !!! That’s the way things are accomplished…think about it. I have done this once in a while and my friends told me that they wish they could do things like that.
Go ahead !!! JUST DO IT and have a joyous feeling and laugh about it and be glad that you did. I’m with you… Love ya’

We all have a kid within us… and the way we deal with life and how life deals with us make us forget to be a child again… A child who has a dream, a child who plays and have fun under the sun, a child who laughs all the time, a child who believes in Santa Clause, fairy tales and magic……. I’ve always loved children for I’m one of them too in times, I cry, I laugh, I smile, I dream and I love.

This is a great poem which brings back the memories of yester-years when i was a kid and thinks the the whole world is stressfree, caring, loving and that every thing on earth is beautiful. I love the music and the wording of this poem.

what it was to be a kid.how easy to be happy and laugh at all things.
god is good all the time .we see him all things good and beautiful.
we see him in ugliness because he doesnt just love the good but the bad and the ugly. simple things are great fun . god bless

Wow!!!! Lol…me too ok….; ) This is such a cute card and it would be nice to be a kid again for sure for maybe a couple of days anyway.
Thanks for such a cute card that did take be back to a place in time.: )
I can remember oh how I could not wait to turn 16 and thought I knew so much…lol..when in reality I knew so little, for the road is long and the ride is bumpy, and I have been knocked off course a few times….doing things my way!
I often say why does “Wisdom” come later in life when you need it upfront, and the body is still in good working order! ;~O
If we all would just love one another as Jesus says too what a happier place we would live in and forgive each other, not judge….but support each other!! : )

Yeah this sends a message that we tend to get caught up in our “adult mentality” and forget that we can choose to have a carefree attitude and perspective on life….message….Quit acting so old….lol 90 is old….until then start living…….!! peace

I think that I will try living some of the things in it…What do I care what anyone
thinks…they will probably be envious of me and wish they could have the guts to
try these things too…so there !!! I also believe in laughter…Yes…I am going to be happy again with lots of laughter… Come, JOIN ME !!!
