The Master’s Call – Marty Robbins
The Master’s Call sung by Marty Robbins from his “Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs”. I have tried to tell the story to the song that’s of a young cowboy who runs with a “bad” crowd but after a freak accident or divine intervention, he is redeemed, turns to good from that point in time. I usually don’t like Western songs but this one is really very good!

From my earliest recollection as a 4-5 year-old boy, I would lie down on the floor, in front of my grandparents “hi-fi“ record player and listen to this song and ask them to play it again. I’ve always loved it and seldom hear it without my eyes at least getting misty. Based on my own testimony and those I’ve heard from others, of the great lengths God has gone to, to find His lost sheep, it’s hard for me to believe this wasn’t a true story, that someone actually experienced, passed down through the years until it finally became a song.
Fantastic job with the video, I’ve had it on my YouTube playlist for several years and I’m so happy to come across your post, I’ve always wondered, who had the love and compassion to put this together. I forwarded it to my brothers and dad, very moving, I know they will appreciate it as well. Thanks so much! God bless you.
