Chee Chee this is addressed to you. I love all your works. I’ve been very ill for almost two years, in and out of more surgeries than I care to admit. I’m sending this particular poem to someone now that is becoming my fiancee when he gets back home from overseas in May. He has loved me for the longest time and I never knew it. He loved and supported me daily by e-mails and calls because he being overseas that was the best he could do. On Valentine’s Day, he said: “I can’t hold back any longer, today being Valentine’s Day I have to say I love you, I have loved you for several years just too shy to say anything. So please accept my love and my proposal of marriage today?!” And I did Chee Chee. We will be engaged for a year then marry sometime thereafter. We’re not youngsters. He’s 58 years old, I’m 65 years old. But we feel as if we are young teenagers in love. So thank you for allowing me to forward this beautiful poem to him. I just had two knee replacements on January 3rd and still in pain and long recuperation, but this made my day. Thank you and keep up your beautiful works.
Awwwwwwwwwww, thank you Lola for your kind words and for sharing your beautiful love story. No one is ever too old to fall in love. 🙂 Sorry to hear about what all you’ve been through sweetie. But, the future looks awesome for you! 🙂 Embrace it and embrace your love upon his return. I wish you both the best and may all your days be filled love, light, faith, and beauty. 🙂 Hugs ~ Chee Chee Martin 🙂
