Your Hand
When my world falls down around me,
And the ground is sinking sand;
When peace can’t be found on this earth,
I reach out for your hand.
Then when your hand wraps ’round my own,
A strength pours from your soul;
It brings me to a quiet calm,
Till once again I’m whole.
A peace beyond all reason,
A rest there in your touch;
Something in your quiet words,
My heart yearns for so much.
If I but rest my worries,
Upon your shoulder there;
The strength that pours forth from your soul,
Will wash away each care.
Like a cool, sweet taste of water,
For a tired and thirsty man;
My heart finds peace, my soul is calm,
When I reach out for your hand.

This was truly a very meaningful poem and the words certainly lifted my thoughts back to when my husband and I spent many beautiful times together. We both loved to ballroom dance, so there were lots of lovely memories for when he held me in his arms very loving and were blessed with 40 years of life together before THE LORD taken him home to live in eternity.

This poem comes at a good time… I was just thinking today of my beloved late husband’s hands,
which dwarfed mine when we held hands… Such a strong wonderful man. I miss him so, but
GOD is taking care of him and that is good… 60 or more wonderful years we had… That in it
self is a great blessing… Thank you GOD always…

I think this poem is so beautiful! I know what it is to lose a loved one in death although it has been many years ago. I too held on to the hand of God to get me through my grief. Now my sister has lost her husband just 2 years ago and she is still grieveing over his death. But i’m doing my best to be there for her as I understand what she is going through. One thing that was always told to me is “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Our loved ones may be gone from this life but we still have something to look forward to and that is the reunion up in heaven. What a day that will be. Praise God!!

What is mature love?
It is when we understand and acknowledge the person we love and care for as a separate, unique human being who has his own needs, desires and directions in life. We love our loved ones simply because they are as and who they are because we admire and respect them, and we give them the same freedom that we give ourselves. This is known as unconditional love. It doesn’t place conditions of being loved on the other person. If we are actually grown up and mature in love, we will behave the same when our partner goes with somebody else or leaves us. Although accepting this fact is difficult, but not a heartbreak, a depression or grief.
Love between any relationships will prolong only when the people are matured enough and forgive each other for any mistakes. Problem arises only when the expectation increases. It is not at all better to expect too much from others. When you expect something from your relative and they do not get the expectation satisfied you will get disappointment and this will create a bad impression about that person in your heart. Therefore, do not expect anything from your loved ones. On the other hand, show your unconditional love, this will be of great use to maintain your relationship for life long.

Today I stumbled and once again
Was lifted up by an unseen hand.
What comfort and joy that knowledge brings.
For I hear the whisper of angel wings.
The guardian angels God sends to all
To bear us up when we stumble and fall.
Trust Him, my friend, and often you’ll hear
The whisper of angel wings hovering near.
I Love Him and Him to Bitzzz!

This great poem brought to my mind something that I did years and years ago.
I was alone and nervous and I quieted myself down and felt Jesus beside me and
took his hand and at once I felt comforted. I have done this many a time and hope
that you might do this when you feel you need comfort… Try it, it works.
