The Season of Joy

The Season of Joy,
the ground covered in snow,
decorations and stockings hung,
The Angel all a glow.

The children laugh and run,
their hearts filled with glee,
as they race to open,
their presents under the tree.

The families all gather together,
greeted with a kiss and a hug,
as they sit by the fire,
all warm and all snug.

They sing carols of Christmas,
songs we all know and love,
We give thanks and rememberance,
For this day is a gift from above.

For on this special day,
a great child was born,
The reason we celebrate,
upon this Christmas morn.

So as you open the presents,
And laugh full of cheer,
I wish you all a Merry Christmas,
and a Happy New Year!
