Jim Reeves has one of the best in his class of singers. A rich baritone voice with cadence. Not many have surpassed his voice qualities.

This was “our song”…………my wonderful friend, Jack & I……….loved hearing it again. I am 82yrs old; Jack died last year at the age of 77yrs old. I miss him so much…….words can not explain. We were only together 3 short years, but it seems like we were together always. There will never be a guy like him, for me, or a love like ours. We met late in life when some would not have believed it possible for love……….but we knew differently. Ours grew right from the start, but ended so quickly. He shot himself, you know, some say, it shouldn’t have happened, but only he knew how much pain he could endure……….cancer………one of our worst enemies. Thanks for the beautiful, but so painful memories.

Oh Doris, so sad for your tragic loss. The love you found late in life was very special. Keep those memories close always. You were blessed.

Thanks so much for your beautiful reply to my email a few years ago. I am now 84, soon to be 85 (Feb.) & still miss Jack, so much. I also lost 2 husbands & miss both of them at this time of year. It’s hard to go on without them, but somehow I keep living. Blessed, I guess, but sometimes I wonder why I am still living when almost all my family & loved ones are gone. It’s so lonely.

Keep all those good memories and family close……you won’t be alone. I still have many lonely days, with more health issues. I wonder, too, but someone has plans for us, so we wait. Bless you, Doris. You will be fine.
